Performance
BMC Luftfilter sind für einen höheren Luftdurchsatz entworfen und hergestellt als der original Papierfilter. Eingestezt in der Formel minimiert das BMC Filtergewebe die Druckverluste des Luftstroms. Auf diese Weise gewährleisten die BMC Luftfilter die besten Voraussetzungen für maximale Leistung. Daher sind die BMC Luftfilter besonders bei leistungsgesteigerten Motoren sinnvoll. Der Luftfilter stellt den ersten Widerstand in der Luftversorgungsstrecke des Motors dar. Demnach sollte genau hier die Optimierung beginnen. Kein Reißen des Papierfilters bei hohen Luftmassenströmen.
Design
BMC Luftfilter werden mit modernster Software berechnet und mit Hilfe von jahrelanger Erfahrung und neuesten Technologien produziert. Ein Formel1- Luftfilter muss vielen Ansprüchen zugleich gerecht werden. Er muss sehr leicht, robust und effektiv sein. Er muss z.B. gegenüber Oxidation durch Luftfeuchtigkeit oder Benzindämpfen standhalten. Hierzu muss dieser Luftfilter aus den besten verfügbaren Werkstoffen hergestellt werden. Das Filtermaterial besteht aus einem speziellen Baumwollgewebe, welches mit dünnflüssigen Öl getränkt wurde. Damit ist die höchste Luftdurchlässigkeit bei gleichzeitig höchster Filterweirkung gewährleistet.
Technologie
BMC hat ein besonderes Herstellungsverfahren entwickelt, welches auf weichem Gummi-Formen basiert. Hieraus entstehen die bekannten roten BMC Filter. Diese Filter werden ohne Schweißnähte aus einem einzigen Stück gefertigt, wodurch die Risiken eines Materialversagens minimiert sind. Dieses Verfahren, stammt von R&D in der Formel 1 und es ist bezeichnend für die technischen und qualitativen Eigenschaften der BMC Luftfilter.
Performance
BMC air filters are designed and produced to ensure a higher air flow than original paper filters. In F1, for example, BMC cotton filters minimize the loss of air flow pressure passing through the air filter; this way ensures the best conditions for full exploitation of maximum power. Therefore the benefits of replacing the original paper filter with BMC cotton air filter, produced using the same technology and materials as the F1 air filters, are evident.
Design
Qualified engineers using advanced software and expert technicians using the latest technologies produce BMC air filters. An F1 filter must be very light, must be made of the best raw materials and must improve performance. For this reason we use only alloy mesh with epoxy coating to ensure protection from petrol fumes and from oxidization due to the humidity of the air. The filtering material is composed of a special cotton gauze soaked with low-viscosity oil to give you the best air permeability.
Technology
BMC technical staff has developed a particular production system based on soft rubber moulding which produces the familiar BMC red filters. They are made in one single piece with no welded joints in the corners, thus avoiding breaking risks. This system, called "Full Moulding" comes from R&D in F1 and it is significant of BMC air filters' technical and quality specifics.

Performance

Stock air filters are always a compromise. The OEM has to boundary conditions such as noise, space,
accessibility and above all take costs into account. It is through an increase in power output, which is always accompanied by an increased air flow,
the stock compromise solution quickly reachs their limits. The BMC Airfilter effectsin no significant negative pressure before the turbocharger,
that would decrease the power, torque and low fuel consumption. This is achieved by aerodynamic shapes and generously bigger sized filter surfaces.
By using high quality materials the BMC Airfilters are extremely durable.
In addition to their technical characteristics, the BMC Airfilters also convinces with a sporty engine sound.
